Following its warm and emotional reception at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, the teaser of Oslo: A Tail of Promise has been released. The much-anticipated first look offers viewers the same gentle, heartfelt tone that resonated strongly with audiences at the festival.
Presented and produced by actor and passionate animal advocate John Abraham, Oslo: A Tail of Promise is a deeply intimate, non fiction film capturing the profound bond between a Siberian husky, Oslo and Pooja R Bhale, founder of the Protecterra Ecological Foundation.
Speaking about the film and its teaser, John Abraham said, “The teaser is only a window, but even in those few moments, people can feel Oslo’s presence and Pooja’s truth. That is all I hoped for. This film asks us to pause, to listen, and to see life through another being’s eyes.“
The film, directed by Isha Pungaliya, explores how animals guide, ground and heal us in moments when humanity feels most fractured.
She added, “We knew this story carried its own strength, but watching people connect so instantly and so emotionally has been incredibly moving. Animals remind us who we can be at our best. Oslo carries that reminder in every frame.”
Pooja’s journey with Oslo shapes the film’s emotional core. Reacting to the teaser’s release, she said, “Oslo came into my life as a traumatised dog looking for a home, and he became my teacher. He taught me to surrender, to accept, to love without fear. This film is his legacy.”
Amid ongoing discussions about animal welfare, Oslo: A Tail of Promise serves as a gentle reminder of the bond humans share with animals, who offer loyalty and companionship without expectation.
The film is presented by John Abraham and produced by JA Entertainment and Vaanar Nir.

Dhurandhar lands in legal trouble: Family of late Major Mohit Sharma moves Delhi High Court; seeks stay on Ranveer Singh starrer
The upcoming Ranveer... Read More
The upcoming Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar has hit a legal roadblock just days before its release, as the family of late Major Mohit Sharma has approached the Delhi High Court seeking an immediate stay on the film. According to Bar and Bench, the petition, filed by the martyr’s family, accuses the makers of allegedly drawing from Major Sharma’s life and covert operations without seeking the family’s consent.
A couple of days back the controversy gained momentum on social media a day earlier, with users speculating that Dhurandhar might be loosely based on Major Mohit Sharma. Addressing the chatter, director Aditya Dhar issued a public clarification on X (formerly Twitter), firmly denying any such connection. Responding to a user who hinted at similarities, Dhar wrote, “Hi, sir — our film Dhurandhar is not based on the life of brave heart Major Mohit Sharma AC(P) SM. This is an official clarification. I assure you, if we do make a biopic on Mohit sir in the future, we will do it with full consent and in complete consultation with the family, and in a way that truly honours his sacrifice for the nation and the legacy it has left for all of us.”
The respondents named in the plea include the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Central Board of Film Certification, the ADGPI, the film’s director and co-producer Aditya Dhar, and producer Jio Studios. The family asserts that the film violates Major Sharma’s posthumous personality rights under Article 21 of the Constitution. They argue that any unauthorised portrayal infringes upon their own right to privacy, dignity and emotional security.
A major concern raised in the petition is the possibility of the film revealing sensitive information related to the covert missions led by Major Sharma. As per the plea, if any of his classified operations are depicted, it could compromise national security and expose confidential details that were integral to his service to the nation.
The family is also seeking a broader directive: to make it mandatory for filmmakers to secure authorisation from both the legal heirs of any real-life military martyr and the Indian Army before releasing films inspired by their lives.

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar — featuring an ensemble cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan and Sara Arjun — is slated for release on December 5. Whether the legal battle will affect its theatrical plans remains to be seen.

Shweta Tripathi to produce her first horror film Nava under Bandarful Films in association with Kowatanda Films India
Actor-producer Shweta... Read More
Actor-producer Shweta Tripathi is expanding her storytelling universe with Nava, her first-ever horror project under her banner Bandarful Films, created in association with Kowatanda Films India. This marks her second production venture after the queer drama Mujhe Jaan Na Kaho Meri Jaan, starring Tilottama Shome, reaffirming her commitment to backing bold, original and culturally rooted narratives.
Set against the hauntingly beautiful yet formidable wetlands of the Sundarbans, Nava follows the story of Tara, who returns to her ancestral home only to find herself pulled into a chilling, generation-old mystery involving river gods, buried family secrets and the uneasy coexistence of myth and memory. Written by Akash Mohimen, the film is positioned as an evocative blend of folklore, fear and emotional depth.
Speaking about producing her first horror film and continuing to diversify the stories she wants to champion, Shweta Tripathi shared, “Nava is a very special step for me as a producer. After Mujhe Jaan Na Kaho Meri Jaan, which was rooted in love and identity, I felt an instinctive pull to explore a completely different emotional world. Horror, especially when woven with culture and folklore, has the power to move people in unexpected ways. The Sundarbans is not just a backdrop in this story, it’s alive, it breathes, it protects and it threatens. When Akash narrated the script, I was taken in by its beauty, its fear, and its soul. As a producer, I want to support stories that take creative risks, that are layered, and that stay with the audience long after the film ends. Partnering with Kowatanda Films India on Nava feels like the perfect collaboration because we share the same passion for storytelling that is both meaningful and cinematic.”
With Nava, Shweta steps deeper into the world of production, continuing her mission to nurture genre-driven, character-led Indian stories that challenge the conventional and celebrate authenticity.

Aamir Khan drops major career update at IFFI 2025: Superstar confirms full-time return to acting after wrapping current films
Aamir Khan brought... Read More
Aamir Khan brought the final Fireside Chat of the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to a roaring conclusion, turning the packed Kala Academy into what felt like an immersive masterclass in cinema. The session, moderated by acclaimed film critic Baradwaj Rangan, was titled ‘The Narrative Architect of Social Transformation and Inclusivity’ and soon turned into a candid, insightful and deeply personal conversation with the superstar.
Aamir began by revisiting the origins of his love for stories, recalling memories of his grandmother’s tales and the magic of Hawa Mahal on the radio—moments he credits for shaping his creative instincts. “I’ve always been drawn to stories. They were a big part of my childhood, and that fascination has guided every choice I’ve made as an actor,” he said.
What emerged through the session was Aamir’s belief in instinct over calculation. “I can’t repeat myself. Once I’ve done a certain kind of film, I want to move on. I look for stories that feel fresh, unique, and creatively exciting,” he explained. Rejecting the idea of trend-driven filmmaking, he added, “I choose films purely based on my emotional excitement for the story, even if it goes completely against the norm.”
He reflected on how some of his biggest hits were once considered risky. “Most of my decisions have been impractical by industry standards. When we made Lagaan, even Javed Saab advised us not to. By all logic, I shouldn’t have become a star—I broke every rule. But somehow, those unconventional choices connected with people and I’m deeply grateful,” he said.
Aamir clarified that his films with social themes happened organically. “I never select a film thinking about which social topic to address next. I only look for scripts that excite me. If a great script carries a social message, that’s a bonus—not the starting point,” he noted, while crediting writers for shaping the worlds of Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots, Dangal and Laapataa Ladies.
In one of the evening’s biggest revelations, Aamir confirmed a major professional shift. “Once I complete the current slate of projects I’ve produced—Lahore 1947, Happy Patel, and a few others—the work on all of them will wrap in the next few months. After that, I’m shifting my focus entirely back to acting from production.” He continued, “From here on, any script I hear will be only for me as an actor. It’s a significant shift, but the right time to dedicate myself fully to acting again.”
He also shared that he is currently hearing new scripts. “Several have excited me—two or three in particular—but I’m still in the process of choosing,” he said.
Aamir touched upon his long-standing desire to direct, adding, “Direction is actually my big love. Filmmaking is what I enjoy the most… But the day I consciously decide to take up direction, I’ll probably stop acting, because it will consume me completely. That’s why I’m delaying that decision for now.”
The session closed with Aamir being felicitated by Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Shri Sanjay Jaju, marking a memorable end to IFFI 2025’s final Fireside Chat.

Apne producer Deepak Mukut miffed with Anil Sharma for calling off Apne 2: "He is not authorized to make such a rash statement"
Producer Deepak Mukut... Read More
Producer Deepak Mukut is extremely miffed with director Anil Sharma for saying that the sequel to the Deols’ family film Apne cannot be made without the patriarch of the family.
Affirmed Deepak Mukut, “On the contrary, Apne must be made now, more than ever before. We were working on the project with Dharam ji. Now Sunny (Deol) and I are going to work on Apne as a homage to Dharam ji. He will be there in the project in spirit. Apne featured Dharam ji with Sunny and Bobby. Apne 2 will also have Sunny’s son Karan in stellar role. I will be sitting down with Sunny over this as soon as the mourning period finishes.”
Mukut is surprised and annoyed at Anil Sharma’s announcement on Apne 2 being called off after Dharam ji’s death. “He is not authorized to make such a rash statement. I wonder why he said this. He denies having made such a statement. But how can he be quoted on something so sensitive if he didn’t say it? It is not Anil Sharma’s call to go ahead with the project or not. It is up to Sunny and I to take the project ahead and we are going ahead full throttle. We owe it to Dharam ji and his fans all over the world.”
Since Anil Sharma feels the project cannot move ahead without Dharmaji, would Deepak Mukut consider replacing the director in Apne 2?
“It is a possibility. I am not ruling it out. We may have a new director. That is not important. The important thing is, we are going ahead with Apne 2 as a homage to Dharamji with Sunny, Bobby and Karan Deol.”

EXCLUSIVE: CBFC replaces ‘Harami’ with ‘Kameena’, ‘Sex’ with ‘Aiyaashi’ and ‘The art of lovemaking’ in Gustaakh Ishq
The ‘ishq’ day,... Read More
The ‘ishq’ day, November 28, is here for two films with the word ‘ishq’ or ‘ishk’ have released today – Tere Ishk Mein and Gustaakh Ishq. The latter marks the first theatrical release of producer Manish Malhotra and has been noticed due to its lovely trailer, feel-good zone and lead cast. In this article, Bollywood Hungama will exclusively focus on the cut list of Gustaakh Ishq.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed Gustaakh Ishq with a U/A 13+ certificate. However, the Examining Committee asked for a few changes. They told the makers to replace ‘Harami’ to ‘Kameena’ and ‘Kameeni’. They also instructed them to replace ‘rascal’ with ‘scoundrel’ in the subtitles. Secondly, ‘sex’ was replaced with ‘aiyaashi’ and ‘the art of lovemaking’. The subtitles were also modified suitably. Thankfully, the CBFC makers didn’t ask for any visual cut as they didn’t feel the need for it in this clean family entertainer, as it's devoid of sex and violence.
Once these changes were made, Gustaakh Ishq was given a censor certificate on November 11. The length of the film, as mentioned on the censor certificate, is 128.30 minutes. In other words, Gustaakh Ishq is 2 hours, 8 minutes and 30 seconds.
Gustaakh Ishq stars Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi and is directed by Vibhu Puri of Hawaizaada (2015) fame. The film had its successful India premiere on November 24 at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) held in Goa.
At the trailer launch of Gustaakh Ishq, held earlier this month, Fatima Sana Shaikh was asked about the changing definition of love. She remarked, “Earlier, people used to think a lot before professing their love. Then they would put a lot of thought in writing the love letter, which paper should be used to write, whether they should add a flower or perfume. Hence, it used to be a tactile experience. Now, people send memes, smileys. Hence, I long for slow, passionate and deep love. Thoda hasna, thoda rona. Waise type ka pyaar mujhe pasand hai!”
Vijay Varma replied, “Now, we have a tag for everything. If your partner is silent, he’s accused of ghosting! Agar kisi ne kuch bol diya toh toxic ho gaya. Instead of understanding and accepting something, we tend to immediately tag and move on in life. Earlier, silence ka ek mazaa hota tha. Intezaar ka ek mazaa hota tha. There was a joy in meeting and also in not meeting. All that is missing now.”

Kapil Sharma to return to Colors after 11 years in Laughter Chefs: Report
Recent reports... Read More
Recent reports suggest that Kapil Sharma is all set to make a much-talked-about return to Colors, marking a significant moment for fans who have long associated the channel with some of his earliest television triumphs. While he is not reviving Comedy Nights With Kapil, the iconic skit-based chat show that made him a household name, the comedian, we hear, is gearing up to be a part of an entirely different show— the comedy cooking reality show Laughter Chefs that is expected to mark a return with its new season soon.
For those who came in late, Comedy Nights With Kapil had once been one of the biggest draws on Indian television, welcoming major Bollywood stars and featuring popular comedians like Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda and many others. The show ended amid reports of a fallout between Kapil and the channel — an incident that unfolded nearly 11 years ago. Despite the long-standing buzz around their differences, the comedian and the network have finally decided to turn the page.
According to industry chatter, Kapil will now be joining Laughter Chefs, a show known for pairing television celebrities in a chaotic, comedy-infused kitchen setting. The new addition is expected to bring a fresh surge of excitement, especially since it will once again see him share screen space with Krushna Abhishek and comedian-host Bharti Singh — a trio the audience has always loved watching together.
For Kapil, this is said to mark a refreshing departure from his usual stage-driven and conversational comedy. The culinary backdrop is expected to be giving him a whole new playground to explore. He will be seen interacting with contestants navigating frantic cooking challenges, last-minute mishaps and kitchen blunders that naturally lead to hilarious outcomes. His spontaneity and quick wit are expected to blend seamlessly with the show’s format, making his presence a major draw for viewers.
Meanwhile, the comedian is juggling an extremely busy schedule. He continues to front multiple seasons of Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, where he shares screen space with Krushna Abhishek, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu and others. The series has been performing strongly for the platform and keeps Kapil firmly positioned as one of India’s most bankable entertainers.
Kapil is also gearing up for the theatrical release of his comedy entertainer Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. The film features an ensemble cast including Hina Warina, Ayesha Khan, Tridha Choudhury, Parul Gulati and Manjot Singh, among others.
With Laughter Chefs, Kapil Sharma’s comeback to Colors marks the beginning of yet another exciting chapter in his television journey — one that brings nostalgia, reunions and brand-new comic chaos.
