Titled Lag Jaa Gale, the upcoming film will feature a fresh on-screen pairing, Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor, marking their first collaboration.
A Genre Blend: Revenge, Action, and Romance A report by Pinkvilla stated that Lag Jaa Gale is a high-octane revenge action film with a love story at its core. “It’s a script Raj has been nurturing for a while. He was keen on casting a never-seen-before pair and found the perfect combination with Tiger and Janhvi. Both actors loved the story and immediately came on board,” the report quoted a source.
The title Lag Jaa Gale was chosen after much deliberation, as the team felt it resonated with the emotional undertones of the narrative despite its action-heavy treatment. Production Timeline and Release Plans The film is scheduled to go on floors towards the end of 2025. Tiger Shroff is expected to begin shooting once he wraps up promotions for Baaghi 4, while Janhvi Kapoor will join post the release campaign of her romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsikumari. According to the report, Lag Jaa Gale is being designed as a large-scale theatrical release, with an emphasis on groundbreaking action sequences, a hallmark of Tiger’s filmography. As part of this strategic alliance, Pratilipi and RKF will jointly identify stories from Pratilipi’s platform, co- invest in their development, and collaboratively pitch and produce them for leading studios and streaming platforms. The goal is to co-produce at least six projects—across films and series—over the next three years.
The first project to launch under this exciting partnership is Charitraheen, a powerful courtroom drama that’s already made waves on the Pratilipi app. The story has racked up over 21 million reads, with users leaving more than 244,000 reviews and giving it an impressive 4.88/5 rating. Our goal has always been to give these stories a stage. This partnership with Roy Kapur Films takes that vision one step further — to the screen. With RKF’s storytelling sensibility and production strength, we’re not just adapting stories; we’re elevating them for a larger audience. Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal scene postponed as Mumbai rains disrupt Love & War shoot: Report
The relentless rains... Read More
The relentless rains that lashed Mumbai on May 26 didn’t just disrupt daily life—they also brought film shoots to a halt. Among the affected projects is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious romantic drama Love & War, which has been in production at Film City, Goregaon.
Key Outdoor Sequence With Ranbir and Vicky Delayed According to a report by Mid-Day, Bhansali had scheduled a crucial outdoor scene with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal for Monday afternoon. However, heavy rains and waterlogging made it impossible to continue. The scene, described as an intense dramatic moment, required specific lighting conditions that couldn’t be achieved under the overcast skies.
“It was a key dramatic sequence that was set outdoors and required specific lighting. But with waterlogging and unpredictable weather, it became impossible to go ahead,” the report quoted an insider. “Bhansali sir didn’t want to compromise on the visual quality or the safety of the crew.” Safety Concerns and Logistical Hurdles Prompt Cancellation The unit of over 500 people also faced commute challenges. With local trains disrupted across the city, several crew members residing in far-off suburbs couldn’t reach the set. Concerned for their safety and well-being, the director decided to call off the shoot for the day. Scheduling Challenges Amid Star-Heavy Cast Love & War stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal—a casting combination that has naturally made scheduling tight. While Alia Bhatt wasn’t part of this particular sequence, Ranbir and Vicky had reportedly blocked the week for the film. With heavy rainfall expected to continue, Bhansali has temporarily put the shoot on hold. “The shoot is likely to resume later this week after the situation stabilises. This brief halt, however, won’t disrupt the overall schedule,” added the source.
Despite this interruption, production is expected to stay on track for Love & War, which is slated for a March 2026 release.

Om Raut opens up about Kalam: The Missile Man of India; says, “I don’t think there could have been a better choice than Dhanush”
Filmmaker Om Raut... Read More
Filmmaker Om Raut officially unveiled his next directorial project titled Kalam: The Missile Man of India, a biopic on the life of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at Cannes 2025 starring Dhanush in the lead role. The title was launched at the prestigious film festival, where Raut also spoke about the inspiration behind the film and the choice of casting the Tamil star.
Speaking about the personal impact Dr. Kalam had on him, Om Raut said, “The teachings of Dr. Kalam are instilled in every youth. I read his book ‘Wings of Fire’ when I was in college, and I can say that everything I am doing today, and everything I aspire to be, is inspired by the teachings in that book. It changed my perspective on life and that is exactly why I am standing here today.”
Raut also outlined the three core aspects of Kalam’s life that shaped the foundation of the film. “I’ve always been deeply inspired by Dr. Kalam’s journey. From what I’ve observed, his life was anchored in three key aspects. First is education — he was a great teacher who placed immense value on quality learning. Second is innovation — particularly indigenous innovation. He encouraged us to develop within our country. And the third is resilience — the willpower to stay committed to our purpose,” he stated.
Raut revealed that producer Abhishek Agarwal approached him with the idea, only to discover that he was already developing a similar concept. “He flew from Hyderabad to Mumbai, and we discussed it in detail. Eventually, T-Series and Bhushan Kumar, with whom I’ve worked on two previous films, came on board for this as well. This marks our third collaboration, and we’re moving ahead with full force,” Raut shared.
On casting Dhanush in the role of Dr. Kalam, Raut added, “When portraying Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, it’s essential to capture not just his achievements, but also his spiritual journey and teachings. That’s the most challenging part of a biopic like this. And I don’t think there could have been a better choice than Dhanush to bring this spiritual and intellectual depth to life on screen.”
The film is written by Saiwyn Quadras, known for his work on Neerja and Maidaan, and is produced by Abhishek Agarwal, the producer behind The Kashmir Files and Parmanu. Kalam: The Missile Man of India aims to chronicle the life of India’s former President — from his early days in Rameswaram to becoming a celebrated scientist and the nation’s leading voice in education and innovation.

Creators, Showrunners, and Producers Rangita Pritish Nandy and Ishita Pritish Nandy of Pritish Nandy Communications said, “Season 1 of The Royals was our love letter to the romcom genre; palaces, polo races, midnight masqued balls, fort-top romps and raves—love at its most chaotic and charming. We are thrilled to team up with Netflix for a second season that’s going to be bigger, bolder, and even more fabulous. Expect more fire, more feisty banter, and yes, a whole lot of drama. Akshay Kumar's cheeky prank turns Nargis Fakhri into 'Sajid Nadiadwala' at Housefull 5 trailer launch - quite literally!
In true Housefull... Read More
In true Housefull spirit, Akshay Kumar brought the chaos — and the laughs — to the trailer launch of Housefull 5, and this time, the punchline wasn’t in the script. It was on Nargis Fakhri’s back. Just as the cameras started flashing and the cast settled into their seats, sharp-eyed attendees noticed a suspiciously familiar name tag stuck on Nargis Fakhri’s back. It read: ‘Sajid Nadiadwala’. And no, the producer hadn’t taken up acting in secret.
The real Sajid, seated just a few rows away, couldn’t help but chuckle — or was that a double take? Turns out, it was all part of Akshay Kumar’s impromptu prank. The superstar, known for his on-set mischief and unparalleled comic timing, decided to blur the lines between reality and resemblance. With Nargis sporting a sleek, slicked-back hairstyle and power blazer, some attendees whispered — perhaps not inaccurately — that she did look like a younger, more glam version of Sajid Nadiadwala’s latest ‘boardroom avatar’.

“It's all love,” Akshay quipped when asked about the prank. “Sajid is like family, and Nargis… well, now she literally is him — at least for a few selfies.”
While Nargis took it in stride, laughing off her unexpected producer debut, insiders say she’s already plotting her revenge. “Akshay better watch his back — and his placards,” she said, grinning. “Let’s just say, if Housefull 6 ever happens, I’m writing his name as 'Nargis Kumar’ on every script.” As for Sajid, the real one, he gave his seal of approval: “With that level of style and confidence? I’ll take it as a compliment.”
Trust Housefull to bring the madness — on and off-screen.
